MOUNT & BLADE II: BANNERLORD
MOUNT & BLADE II: BANNERLORD: HOW TO GET THE BEST UNITS (HIGH LEVEL)
Usually, to improve their troops, players pump their level or hire higher-level units. However, there is a relatively quick and easy way to get some of the most powerful units.
Troops earn experience points for the entire group. For example, you have 20 soldiers. For each action that individual units perform, experience points are sent to the common piggy bank. After reaching a certain limit, one of the units will be raised. Therefore, it is advisable to pump troops at the same level. If 10 units are pumped, and 10 – not, then you will replenish the piggy bank 2 times slower.
After any battle, you can capture the surviving enemies. You may have been in a hurry and parted with captives in nearby cities, selling them as slaves, but instead, over time, it becomes possible to recruit any captive. Thus, if you fight powerful opponents, you will soon be able to see some of them in your ranks.
Imagine that you just started a new game. Go to the nearest settlements and hire as many units as you can. Make some money and get horses. All horses located in the inventory automatically increase the speed of movement of the squad on the map. This is important because when meeting a weak opponent (in numbers) you will have to catch up with him.
If you feel like a seasoned warrior, you can even try this method alone. Whatever it was, look for sea raiders, mountain, forest and steppe bandits. Usually, there will be fewer than marauders, but they have high-level fighters. Attack enemies, defeat them, and capture some warriors. From now on, all you need to do is wait.
In the end, a red notification will appear on the squad icon at the bottom of the screen. This usually means that one of your soldiers is ready to level up, but it may also indicate that it is possible to recruit one of the captives. Exclude low-level units and take in their place a high-level captive 3 or 4 shooting ranges.
The advantage of this method is that you do not need to cherish your current units. In fact, you need to strive for them to die, and in their place appeared high-level units. You can keep prisoners as long as you want, and you can recruit when there is free space in the army.
You will need some time to find the really best warriors. However, for each victory, in addition to captives, the game will reward you with a lot of loot. And instead of selling them, I recommend visiting the forge of the city and melting weapons. Since there will be too much equipment, you will probably have to rest several times until the forge becomes accessible again. However, you still need to wait until the prisoners are ready to join the squad.
